All crops, whether direct seeding or transplant, require certain specific conditions to achieve success in the early stages of their cycle and therefore have optimal development and production; As a check list or list of requirements, we can mention:
- Good Nutritional Contribution: mainly Nitrogen and Phosphorus.
- Adequate biostimulation: to achieve correct cell division and development of roots, stems and leaves.
- Phytosanitary protection against attacks by insects and pest mites and diseases.
- Necessary irrigation, to avoid water stress and ensure nutrition.
- Properly prepared soil.
- A seedling suitable for transplanting (or seed for direct sowing).
- It stimulates root growth so there is a greater capacity to assimilate nutrients and water.
- Promotes the increase in the length of stems.
- Integrates different induction pathways (minerals, organic acids, amino acids).
- Helps overcome transplant stress.
- Helps the generation of roots.
- Supplements plant nutrition.
Once you have the above elements, it is safer to be successful in planting or transplanting the crop.
The Starters in the first stage of cultivation.
In general, fertilizers that provide a certain concentration of highly necessary nutrients for the first stage of plant development are known as Starters: in its initial phase of development of roots, stems and true leaves.
In this stage, high amounts of Phosphorus and Nitrogen are required (compared to other stages) and the way to supply it to the plant is vital to achieve the correct nutrition. In addition to this, it is very important to start with the stimulation of cell division first in the root system and later in stems and the entire foliar structure.
At Fagro we design a Proroot package (with nutrition and biostimulation), for the first stage of crops. Its formulation is based on a balanced mix of macronutrient rooting hormones and fulvic acids, which are easily absorbed and assimilated by both leaves and roots. Auxins (ANA and IBA) are the main exogenous hormones that exert primary control in root formation and act together with rooting cofactors such as phosphorus and fulvic acid to promote the development of a greater number of roots of excellent vigor, increase rooting of seedlings in seedbeds or in the field and restore the root system in transplant crops in a short time.
