At Grupo Fagro we use garlic extract for example in a repellent and insecticide, this is present in our product Biotika® Allium. It is a repellent and insecticide of organic origin based on garlic extract, it can be applied by foliar route and with a systemic effect on the plant, on the crops and pest indicated here, both in temperate, subtropical and tropical zones; in the open field and under controlled conditions.
Action mode:
- Repellent effect: Biotika® Allium acts as a repellent against sucking insects thanks to its absorption through plant tissues and becoming systemic via vascular bundles, thus modifying the odor of plants.
- Anti-food Effect: Through its systemic action on the plant, it modifies the flavor of plant tissues, mimicking it and making it unappetizing for the insect/plague.
- Anti-reproductive effect: Biotika® Allium contains compounds known as allomones, when applied via foliar, in the environment it mimics the sexual pheromones of insects, hindering their mating and reproduction.
- Insecticidal Effect: Biotika® Allium causes the phenomenon known as ataxia in insects, which consists of affecting the nervous system, altering its motor functions. The insect stops feeding and eventually dies.
Recommendations for use:
It is recommended to apply via foliar in open field or greenhouse. It is suggested to make the applications in the early hours of the morning or in the afternoon, with enough water, to achieve a good distribution of the product.
Methods to prepare and apply the product:
With the proper protective equipment. Shake the product before use. To open the container, turn the container cap counterclockwise and carefully remove the safety seal. Prepare a pre-mix in a bucket, measure the amount of Biotika® Allium that you are going to use with a plastic cylinder or with a specific graduated tool, mix with water. Pour water into the application tank up to half of its capacity, slowly pour in the pre-mix, until homogenized; fill the drum with the necessary water, shake. Add mixture to application tank or backpack sprayer. Make the application. It is recommended to acidify the water to a pH of 5.5 – 6.0 to achieve better results. Use a volume of water from 200 to 400 L/Ha. ONCE THE CONTAINER IS OPENED, USE THE ENTIRE CONTENT OF THE PRODUCT.
