OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) is an international non-profit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. OMRI Listed® products are allowed for use in certified organic operations under the USDA National Organic Program.
OMRI specifies the products that fall on its list, such as fertilizers, pest control and animal care products that are related to organic standards. Authorized products on the OMRI List may use the OMRI Listed seal.
What is organic?
In the United States, this term is regulated by the government and is governed by federal regulations. All producers using this term are required by law to follow certain practices.
OMRI is accredited under ISO 17065 as a Materials Review Organization. Therefore, certification agencies worldwide can accept OMRI’s decisions about their product’s compliance with NOP and COR regulations. This means you don’t need to share sensitive information about your product with multiple organizations.
Grupo Fagro and its family of companies have various OMRI certified products in their portfolio.
